Mammut x Cabourn Direttissima Baselayer

This vintage-inspired base layer is part of our collaboration with British cult designer Nigel Cabourn. The collection pays homage to apparel from the 1960s, when the Japanese Direttissima route was first climbed on the Eiger. The fabric and design are based on the original one-piece worn by the Eiger ascentionists. The double-knitted fabric combines cotton for next-to-skin comfort and merino wool for enhanced warmth, echoing the historical use of natural fibers in mountaineering garments. The chest pocket with a mother-of-pearl button completes the traditional look. Made in Europe, the Mammut x Cabourn Direttissima links heritage design with modern craftsmanship.
